Mandela, Yet Another Reason to Visit South Africa
Globalization is here to stay. 50 years ago, when an African Head of State passed on it would have been a footnote on Page 2 or his name would have been garbled by Herb Weinstein and his ilk on Buffalo television.
The funeral of the Madiba has shown that not only the royalty and heads of states of the world come to celebrate his global impact but also boast of having met him and remembering his words. Of course, some individuals simply transcend their circumstances but Mandela pushed the whole world further to the notion of the global rainbow of humanity and the importance of listening to each other.
Those who are still hiding under the blanket of national protection and trade inspections have simply missed the message that Mandela gave to all of us. We’re all one family. if we don’t work together, we may well die together. The globalization of the world is not an option. We all share the consequences of each other’s decision and going global today is not a choice but the only path to the future. if you have a chance, visit South Africa. Visit the stunning country where Nelson Mandela helped the world more clearly see our collective destiny. |
